Department of Science And Humanity

The department of Science and Humanities was established in the year 1986, with four disciplines: Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, and English. The prime focus of the Department is to provide bestow futuristic and supportive initiative for B.E /B.Tech Students. The department of S&H occupies a prominent place in the academic history of the college through guiding, motivating, empowering and enhancing the students’ community through imparting knowledge, skill and attitude in basic sciences and also in co curricular and extracurricular activities.

Mission

To produce high quality human and knowledge resources in core areas of competence and in emerging areas of basic sciences to make valuable contribution in technology for social and economic development of the nation and to make organized efforts for continuous enhancement of academic processes to produce employable engineers.

Vision

The department strives to impart knowledge in basic sciences to ensure that the student develop computational skills, critical thinking, and problem solving skills in different engineering disciplines and to enhance their communication skills to match with the global requirements.

To educate graduates to apply the broad fundamental concepts of mathematics and science in electronics and communication engineering to enable them to be competent enough in their chosen careers.

To train the students to innovatively design, simulate, develop, implement and test hardware and software components for offering solution to real life problems and also to train the graduates in demonstrating effective communication skills, the ability to work well either individually or as part of a team.

To create an intellectual environment through Centers of Excellence in research and development oriented emerging technologies and impart intensive training to produce scientists, technocrats and business leaders.

The Laboratory syllabus is designed to implement a standardized, skill based adaptative curriculum with a global perspective.

It provides a platform for learning, practicing and producing language skills.

Problem Solving Techniques and C programming Lab I & II

Dr.S.Palaniammal

Head of the Science and Humanities is a versatile and dynamic personality who joined this prestigious institution in the year 1986. She has obtained her M.Sc., Mathematics from PSG college of Arts and Science, Coimbatore, M.Phil from Bharathiar University and her Ph.D from PSG college of Technology, Coimbatore
