The Department of Civil Engineering, established in 1985, maintains its reputation for delivering outstanding teaching and research, with a team of highly qualified and dedicated faculty members. At the helm of the department is Dr. Sreevidya.V, a respected Professor and Head, who brings a wealth of academic and research experience to her leadership role. Her educational journey and professional accomplishments underscore her commitment to excellence in Civil Engineering. Dr. Sreevidya.V commenced her academic pursuit by earning a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from Mar Athanasius College of Engineering, Kerala in 1998, laying the foundation for her scholarly endeavors. She further honed her expertise by obtaining a Master’s degree in Structural Engineering from V.L.B Janakiammal College of Engineering & Technology, Coimbatore in 2008. In 2013, Dr. Sreevidya.V attained her doctoral degree in Studies of Ferro Geopolymer Concrete from Anna University, Chennai. Her doctoral research significantly advanced the understanding and development of innovative construction materials, reflecting her dedication to pushing the boundaries of engineering knowledge. With 17 years of teaching and research experience, Dr. Sreevidya.V has made substantial contributions to academia. She has overseen 57 PG projects, guided 42 batches of UG projects, and mentored 13 Ph.D. scholars, nurturing the next generation of engineering talent. Dr. Sreevidya.V’s research acumen is evident through her extensive publication record, comprising 85 National/International/ journals. Additionally, she has presented her research findings at 19 international conferences and 33 national conferences, establishing herself as a leading authority in her field. Beyond her academic achievements, Dr. Sreevidya.V actively shares her knowledge and expertise with the wider academic community. She has delivered guest lectures at various reputed institutions and organized numerous funded programs, including seminars, workshops, conferences, and FDPs, with support from prestigious agencies such as DRDO, MOES, and Anna University. Dr. Sreevidya.V’s multifaceted contributions to academia and research exemplify her dedication to advancing the field of Civil Engineering and inspiring future generations of engineers.
