The Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering at Sri Krishna College of Technology has been a hub of academic excellence since its inception in 1985 with an initial intake of 60 students. Over the years, the department has grown significantly, with the undergraduate intake increasing to 180, achieving milestones such as multiple NBA accreditations and recognition as a research center by Anna University in 2008.

During the academic year of 2006-2007, the Master of Engineering in Applied Electronics program was introduced, further enhancing postgraduate education and research. With permanent affiliation and autonomous status, the department fosters innovation and research, securing grants from AICTE, DST, and other government bodies. Faculty members actively contribute to reputed journals and conferences indexed in WoS and Scopus.

The department emphasizes professional skill development and knowledge delivery, preparing students for placements in high-paying core companies. Students are encouraged to participate in technical events, hackathons, and academic co-curricular activities, ensuring a well-rounded learning experience.
