The Department of Computer Science and Engineering was established in 1998, followed by Post graduate Programme in CSE in 2006 and Ph.D Programme in 2021.The goal of the department is to offer a world-class learning and research environment to the students with high ethical values with a view to grooming them as highly competent engineers for the society.

With a teaching career spanning nearly two decades, Dr.R.Vidhya is a distinguished educator and innovator who has made significant contributions to the fields of machine learning and networking. Her journey began in 2002 and has since been characterized by a remarkable dedication to both education and research. Her research focus lies at the intersection of technology and healthcare.

Her insights into machine learning and networking have not only advanced academic discourse but also led to practical applications that have the potential to reshape these domains. Her expertise has extended beyond research, as she has played a pivotal role in developing and delivering consultancy projects for various organizations, showcasing her ability to bridge theory with real-world impact.

With a publication record of 20 research papers and recognition in the form of five teaching awards, she stands out as an accomplished scholar and educator. Her contributions to academia have been further solidified through the authorship of three book chapters published by reputable publishers.

She is also an active member of the Indian Society for Technical Education (ISTE), illustrating her engagement with professional communities. Her commitment to refining her teaching methodologies is underscored by her certification as a Teacher for Teaching Learning Process from Cambridge University. Her innovative spirit is reflected in patents she holds for inventions like “Node Discovery Mechanism for IoT Capillary Networks” and “Smart Application using Cloud-Based IoT for Night Vision Patrolling Robot.”

These patents highlight her capacity to conceive and execute cutting-edge technological solutions. Her written works, including “IoT Technologies Applications Challenges and Solutions in Current Scenario” and “Fundamentals of Cloud Computing” are emblematic of her ability to distill complex concepts into accessible knowledge. For her exceptional contributions, she received the Academic Excellence Award from Technical Research Publications for the academic years 2020-2021 & 2023-2024. In addition to her academic pursuits, she has mentored students in Design Thinking, guiding them to transform innovative ideas into practical products that address real-world challenges.
